Fiona Fleming hasn’t lived in Reading, Vermont in over a decade, her escape from small town living leading her to New York City and a life of adventure. An adventure that has left her with no career, an ex who cheated on her and zero plans for the future. Her grandmother’s death grants her a new chance—inheriting Petunia’s, Iris Fleming’s bed and breakfast, seems like the ideal fresh start.     Really enjoyed this book. The story moved along quickly with lots of twists and turns. It really held my interest and I would like to read more books by this author.

    This book is a great read, just enough intrigue, just enough funny and definitely has a great ending. I would highly recommend for some light, entertaining reading!

    Looking forward to the next one ! I had the mystery wrong from the start. I was thinking it was Ruth. Though she had some parts in it. Really good ! Enjoyed it immensely.

    Ms Larsen has the ability to play with words that, at times, makes me feel like I need to rest before continuing my trek through the winding road. Not at all boring but delightfully verbose with an almost lilting melodic quality to it. Fiona’s series of fact-finding adventures start with anticipation for high drama, followed by discovery or confession by the person of interest, who then leads her to the next person of interest. The process repeats and the investigation keeps rolling. The final discovery is completely unexpected. Who would have guessed!

    Love Petunia the 4th! You have her down perfectly! She is such fun! We have 2 Shih Tzu's one nearly 3 one nearly 5 plus a 10yr old Maltese poodle rescue! I always said my ShihTzus are Pugs with long hair that don't shed! Love our furbabies so much! Loved your book....Fiona needs to realize she is not immortal!! Enjoyed it very much!

    I’ve not read any of the Patti Larsen’s previous work. Not into sci-fi or her other genres. So I read this without any preconceptions. This was so much fun to read I found myself laughing out loud! Fiona’s narration and thoughts about herself, the “case” and Petunia are so real and humorous. I look forward to Fi’s next adventure.
